Nick Anderson:
"I liked XC this year because it helped me be a better basketball player. It has given me more stamina and I hope they don't get rid of XC. We have had some good runners and some good times. We had a lot of kids this year but i hope we have more next year. I know I'm doing XC next year. Mr. Sanderson is a great coach. He knows what the kids are going through like pain and injury. He helped me with my injuries this year."

"My favorite part of cross country is the bus rides and how nice everyone is. You make tons of new friends and everyone knows how hard
everyone else works, and everyone has
a good attitude."
"Well Mr. Sanderson is a great coach, he works everyone hard. And I love seeing all my friends running and having a good time."
"My favorite part of cross country is when the race is over - the finish, the feeling,
the FOOD."
"My favorite part of XC is when I run and feel the breeze run over my head."
"Thank you Mr. Sanderson for helping through all of my injuries and getting me to be more confident about when I run. I couldn't have done it without you!"
"Success isn't how far you got, but the distance from where you started." ~Steve Prefontaine
"What kind of runner are you? Do you run like a deer, punish the ground, or are you a taco Tuesday runner?"
"Long hair, don't care!"
"I like cross country because it doesn't matter if you are talented, it matter if you work hard. Success depends on your hard work, not just raw talent. Also, thank you Mr. Sanderson for bringing cross country to Newell, there wouldn't be a team without you!"
"The only good race pace is suicide pace, and today looks like a good day to die." ~Steve Prefontaine
Thank you Mr. Sanderson for being such a great coach and giving us a great season!

"Just Run. People ask why I run. I say '' If you have to ask, you will never understand''. It is something only those selected few know. Those who put themselves through pain, but deep down know how good it feels."

The team raised $120 total to donate to ASL and then Coach Sanderson made it $250!
"Strength doesn't come from what you can do, it comes from overcoming the things you once thought you couldn't."
