How can we practice SAFE DRIVING?
FOCUS: be well-rested, alert and attentive so you are capable of responding.
ELIMINATE DISTRACTIONS: do not do anything that causes your hands to leave the the steering wheel, your eyes to leave the road or your mind to leave the duty of driving.
How can we practice SAFE DRIVING?
KNOW YOUR SURROUNDINGS: scan the roadway continually for anything out of the ordinary or dangerous and be sure to know what is happening all around you - not just in front of you.
KEEP A SAFE DISTANCE: always give yourself enough room to maneuver, in case of an emergency.
How can we practice SAFE DRIVING?
BE MINDFUL OF YOUR SPEED: obey speed limit signs and be mindful of special conditions such as traffic, construction or curving roads.
BUCKLE UP: seat belts are your best defense in a crash, so use them! It's the law.
