Hitler

Dictator of Nazi Germany from 1933-1945
born on 1889-1945
The Crucible
Deputy Governor born on 1623-1699
Hitler was a
peccant
man, for he spoke of those who were not of the aryan race in a
pejorative
tone and strongly believed that the aryan race was
impeccable
. He ordered the holocaust which killed 6 million people mainly jews. Hitler also tried to take over all of Europe, but was stopped by the axis powers.
He is the Deputy Governor in Salem. Believes that he is guided by god therefor believes no one should fear the court. He makes the final decision to have those hanged or imprisoned, and he has to decide if they are innocent or guilty.

“Near to four hundred are in the jails…on my signature”
-Danforth
Comparison 1
I decided to compare Adolf Hitler and Thomas Danforth. Hitler and Danforth are both clearly not
jocose
in any way, and both did not seem to be very
jocular
either. Instead they were very serious people. The reason why I chose these two is because both of them decided to have people(s) killed, and both for their own reason strongly believed that this was right.
“You surely do not doubt my justice? ”
-Danforth
Comparison 2
''Today i believe that i am acting in accordance with the will of Almighty Creator, by defending myself against the jew, i am fighting for the work of the lord.''
- Adolf Hitler
These two quotes show that both Hitler and Danforth believe that what they are doing is right, but we all know that it isn't.
Actions
Neither Hitler or Danforth were willing to except the consequences of their actions.
Both people died believing that what they had done was right, for neither of them had listened to those who disagreed with their decisions.
'' I will not rest until every inch of Salem belongs to god once again.''
- Danforth

Theme
The theme of The Crucible is, Lies and deceit hold power. I uses this theme because in The Crucible all of the young children are accusing one another of witchcraft, which in fact as the reader we know that this is false. The fact that in The Crucible people believed every word they said and thus being deceived.
This theme directly relates to Adolf Hitler With the germans. Hitler had completely deceived them with propaganda and straight lies.
For example Hitler used propaganda to win over many germans into discriminating against the jews and to follow him and his beliefs. With Hitler being a very persuasive speaker he soon had all of Germany fooled an and by his side. With this Hitler became the supreme ruler of Germany.
''I'll tell you what's walking Salem - Vengeance is walking Salem. We are what we always were in Salem, but now the little crazy children are jangling the keys of th kingdom, and common vengeance writes the law!
- John Proctor
Theme 2
-Nazi propaganda
End
The deaths that were made by these two people is very
plaintive
. Each person lost had loved ones who cared for them and will be truly missed by them.
