The Selection By: Kiera Cass
Do you like books that have a little bit of everything? If so this is your kind of book!
Presentation Introduction
Realistic Fiction
This book takes place in future America.
This book is in first person
Ex."But in this moment, I couldn't think of anything that felt more right."pg.327

Point of View
There are a ton of characters in this book but a few main ones are
-America -America's family
-Aspen -Marlee
-The Prince
protagonist=the king, Celest, and Aspen
antagonist= America
This book is about a girl named America. She lives in futuristic America but its now called Illea. America is a five which in their caste system is pretty low. Prince Maxon is now of age to find a wife. In Illea it is custom to hold a selection to find the new princess. 35 girls are chosen and in the end the prince will pick one. When America is chosen she doesn't even expect what coming!
Figurative Language
Ex."A chorus of "Majesty" and "Highness" fell over him." pg.240
This is a metaphor because those words really didn't fall over him.(this is a horrible example but i really couldn't find anything else!)
I LOVED this book. It was probably all i thought about for like 2 weeks!!! I give it 10 out of 10 stars!!
I got so emotionally invested in this book but i loved every word! I really recommend this book but to mostly girls!
