Statistical Data It is drawing a distinction between looking up available statistics and undertaking further analysis of statistical sources. There are a lot of published statistics available compiled by both government and non-gov't organizations.
These statistics are wide-ranging and cover most of the general topic areas of interest to social scientists.

They are therefore a useful resource the social researcher shouldn't ignore. so... What are the steps and criterias in finding a secondary data? Steps 1.Identifying sources of information 2.Gathering existing data 3.Normalizing data if needed 4.Analyzing data POINT: There are few steps involved in conducting secondary research, as the information already exists—your job is to find it and make sense of it.
1.The data should be useful in the study.

2.How current the data is and whether it applies to time period of interest.

3.Errors and accuracy- whether the data is dependable and can be verified.

4.Presence of bias in the data.
Now let's move on with the... STRENGTHS WEAKNESSES Speed Cost Ease Value General vs. Customized Compatibility Availability Reliability What exactly are secondary satistical data? examples. visual learner? Here are some Think big REALLY BIG! and be SMART when using secondary data Thank you! Criterias let's always remember... 5.Specifications and methodologies used, including data collection method, response rate, quality and analysis of the data, sample size and sampling technique, and questionnaire design.
6.Objective of the original data collection.

7.Nature of the data, including definition of variables, units of measure, categories used, and relationships examined.
Do learn how to locate appropriate secondary data. Do clearly describe how secondary data was obtained. Do treat the data cautiously. Do put in mind that secondary statistical data are not collected to answer your specific research objectives. Do carefully analyze whether your data are relevant and sufficient with your research question. Do familiarize yourself with the data. Do collect, process, present data accurately and interpret and discuss data critically. Don’t trust secondary statistical data completely but analyze and interpret it carefully. Don’t rely much on secondary statistical data without understanding its meaning and accuracy. Don’t try to fit your research question with available secondary data but rather look for secondary data that would answer or supplement your research. Don’t consider secondary data as something that speaks for themselves, they must be carefully interpreted.accuracy. Don’t regard secondary data as simple statistical data but treat them as complex data, try breaking it down into something more manageable. -Team Villar :) We now go to its Do's and Dont's... But, what are its
strengths and weaknesses? Ex. Newspaper articles, books, magazines, the mass media generally and the research of other social scientists Miriam College Issues That’s so Why do Miriam College Girls prefer to wear high heels rather than flats?

Maybe, because taller is slimmer.

Maybe because heels makes their legs appear to be longer.
Maybe it’s just for show-off reasons.

Or maybe it’s something that has to deal with guys.
high. A survey in a site,
called our attention as we browse through the net.
n a paragraph a guy is asked The votes are in, for fashion or impression? “Why do girls think that guys like high heels?” He immediately answered, “I've always wondered.. Alot of girls at college wear high heels here, probably to be taller or because of insecurity. All of my friend including me don't like them and they never really understood why girls wear them either? They are bloody expensive, they hurt like hell and they make your feet grow ugly, especially for teens..Maybe I'm missing something?” –Captain Cock. Thank-you-make-up-beauty Underneath the foundation, the eye shadow, the eye liner, and the lip gloss is a face that no one recognize anymore. Are they insecure to show off their real beauty? Afraid that no one will like them if they do not blend with the crowd?

The L issue We have to admit that as we gather in this room, lesbians are walking roaming around the campus. For others , it’s like committing a crime if you admit that you’re a lesbian. For some, they accept them as if they’re not any different at all. But why do you think there are lesbians to start with? Maybe because guys are so impulsive when it comes to the needs of girls. Girl-to-girl relationships tend to be more reliable because each one of you knows the needs of the other person. Another reason that we’re eyeing on is that it is a safe-relationship. That even if you have sex with a girl you will not get pregnant. But the problem does not stop there. Pregnancy is just one of the many consequences of sexual intercourse. How about the diseases you will get? Is that something not to worry about? Pros and cons will always be there, it’s just a matter of choice. Bumper to bumper “LATE NA AKO!!!" Traffic na naman?! One’s day cannot be complete without the hassle in travelling down the Katipunan area. From the simplest bike to the eye-popping ten-wheeler trucks, what more can add to traffic? Yup, you guessed it right. Private cars owned by college students including Miriam College students. Why do you think they have to drive their own cars? Where practicality and eco-friendly is at stake, why put such risk to drive your own car? To show off their wealth? To be in? To be the talk of the town? Or to branded as a legal lady after you reach the age of 18. So what is their reason to add-up to the piling line of vehicles that makes one scream...
