North Korea invaded
South Korea in June 1950 also known as "The forgotten War". The war was a result of the political division of Korea. during the war of North and South Korea were sponsored by external powers. over 3 million people died. China and Soviet Union helped North Korea The United States and United Nations helped South Korea. 25,600 American troops died. Korean War Harry S. Truman removed Douglas MacArthur from command of the United Nation forces because he did not follow orders. April 1951, Chinese government sent 180,000 men to North Korea. The war ended in 1953. The UN captured Seoul on September 30 1950
