Include a Cover Letter The Education Section Summary of Qualifications Three to five bullet points:

1. Work Experience 2. Special Training 3. Project Work 4. Show Soft Skills Objective The Resume's Purpose Summarizes your relevant abilities, skills, education, and accomplishments

Makes an employer think you are the best person to meet the needs of his or her company

Passes the 15-second test

Earns you an interview! Don’t include the phrase “References Available on Request”

List two professional, two academic, and one personal reference

Ask permission from your references before including them Separate References Page A typo will put your resume in the “no” pile

Complete online applications with care – prepare answers in advance on a word document, such as employment dates,
