READING
SKILLS
Since the beginning of mankind, humans have always wondered "where do we coming from? where are we going? what's the meaning of life?" and is because of these questions and everything that we can not understand that we created a set of beliefs in order to explain the meaning of life.

Nowadays there are over 19 major religions which are subdivided in around 270 large religious groups, and every group has its own set of traditions, rituals, symbols and so on, but this doesn't mean that everybody belongs to a religion, recent studies have shown that there is an increase on the amount of non-believers that raises up to 10% of the worlds population if you think about it, that's a lot of people. So lets go back a little bit, take a minute and try to answer this question: "where Do religions come from?" most of us when we were little kids used to go to the usual Sunday morning service, without having any idea why, but you used to go because you mom/dad/granny/grandad will take you, and if you ask them they went because of the same reason, so where did this start? even though the exact origin is still uncertain, there are many theories about the origin of religious practices. the development of religion has taken different forms in different cultures, while some of them focus on the individual experience, others focus on the community activities.
Religion
READING
SKILLS
Well, so far we have established religion as a set of beliefs and faith, but that doesn't mean that everyone that believe is involve with a religious movement, nowadays is very common to find people which believe in something beyond them, but they haven't been part of any religious movement or institution, likewise you can find people that believes and doesn't believe at the same time, and yes you read that right! Some people go through life without accepting or denying religious claims such as whether God, the divine, or the supernatural exist.

Now, even though religion is something that has existed since the beginning of time, that doesn't mean that it has been always the same, even nowadays new religious movements are created.

In conclusion it doesn't matter what you believe, or if you agree or disagree with religion, the set of morals and values that are being taught are based on tolerance, love and respect.
