Transcript of National Children's Leukemia Foundation

By Karina, Farjana and Juliane The National Children's Leukemia Foundation Issues The mission of the NCLF is to provide the cure for cancer and other life-threatening diseases throughout the world, and to insure that all persons, regardless of race, religion, ethnicity, gender, socioeconomic status or country of residence, have access to life-saving medical care.

The NCLF supports medical research and direct patient care programs that ease the financial, social and psychological burdens of families with a diagnosis of cancer or other serious blood disorders. Origin The organization is based in Brooklyn, NY. Its founder is Steve Shor.

Shor decided to dedicate his future to help improve and prevent other families from suffering the same kind of sorrow he had directly encountered, as he lost his own child to leukemia.

With a development of the NCLF, Cord Blood, the organization could save hundreds of children affected by leukemia or any similar type of disease/ cancer affecting the blood and bone. Activities and Campaigns is a martial arts program that helps children with cancer manage their physical pain and fight their fears. Get Engaged! You can help children affected by leukemia by donating money to the National Children's Leukemia Foundation! Buying NCLF merchandise helps, too. All the profit goes to the organization and to helping children with cancer and/or blood disorders. Ninja Power Make A Dream is a program that fulfills the wishes of young cancer patients. Activities include arranging family trips, meeting celebrities and other personal requests.
