Who were the Pilgrims?
Where did they come from?
Where did they settle in the United States?
What problems did the pilgrims have?
The Native Americans who lived nearby taught the Pilgrims how to harvest their own food. They pledged to be friends.
People who came to the United States in order to practice their religion.
The original pilgrims came from England.
Their ship, the Mayflower, landed close to Plymoth Rock and they built their colony there.
They landed in Plymouth Rock in the winter and did not have enough food to survive. Many pilgrims became sick and died during the first year.
