Details
Students meet weekly to support and promote youth volunteerism. We do this in three ways: creating communicatio pieces that support the Volunteer Centre and it's 160 members, volunteering as a group, and creating our own special event/campaign.
Impact
Youth in high school and post-secondary are able to become student ambassadors. They complete tasks to support KW volunteerism by sharing information at their school.

We are also working with Eastwood to start student-led volunteer kiosks at their school, so students can have access to information and materials, while the poeple running the kiosk earn volunteer hours. We need funding to have the training manual created and materials created and printed. (Looking to have a few languages represented in the materials)
Impact
This is a great opportunity for students who are looking to develop their communication and graphic design skills. It may also appeal to students who are more introverted or have transportation limitations.
Impact

Impact
We have been running EPYC spring-time events since 2014. Youth are involved at all levels of the EPYC Spring events. High school students will be the participants and both high school and post secondary students will help in the planning and facilitation of the events.
Event goal: Personal and professional development, volunteer readiness training, community knowledge, networking and "hacking" social issues in small groups.

YOuth NEED HELP GETTING INVOLVED!
* WRDSB 4-year graduation rate is 68%.
* In 2016, 150 KW studentS didn't graduate due to lack of volunTeer hours. Students face Many barriers (language, social skills, lack of connections)
* Early volunteer opportunities shape opinion ON community involvement for life
THE ISSUES
We are looking for funding to continue our youth program! Contact jane@volunteerkw.ca or donate directly at: https://goo.gl/41Qxdt
