Transcript of The Voice Festival UK - Bristol Regional Festival 2014

The Voice Festival UK
Named after the famous Clifton Suspension Bridge in Bristol, "The Bristol Suspensions" are Bristol's newest 16-piece mixed a cappella group! They're fresh, energetic, love singing really cheesy pop, and can't resist a good medley. They have big plans for their first year, and are hoping to record a CD and take a show up to the Edinburgh Festival!

Meet the groups
With five star reviews and a Bobby Award for the most highly rated show of Edinburgh Fringe 2014 Semi-Toned, Exeter University’s all male a cappella sensation, wows audiences nationally and internationally with their trademark musical wit and charisma. From pop to jazz and everything in between, the boys are guaranteed to get your heart racing and leave you breathless with laughter. ‘Glorious and triumphant 9/10’ (UniversityACappellaUK.com).
‘Flawless’ ***** (BroadwayBaby.com).

Avon Harmony
Avon Harmony was formed in 1975 by a small group of nine ladies.
The group is made up of ladies from all walks of life and backgrounds, though
all with one common interest – making music and having fun!

The chorus is a member of the Ladies Association of British Barbershop Singers. It regularly takes part in their annual national competition for all the members of the organisation, and in our time have won four bronze and three silver medals. We have also taken part in many local music festivals and over the years, and have regularly won our different classes. We continue to work hard to improve our standard of singing.

We are committed to entertaining as broad a cross section of the community as possible and take great pleasure in singing for the disabled and the elderly as well as a variety of other audiences.

Aquapella was founded in 2011 and is a small group who (as
the name suggests) sing a variety of contemporary a cappella music
- including arrangements by members of the group! Their aim is to sing music to a high standard with a professional attitude and to put music at Bath University on the map! As well as competitions, they also perform at events and functions, such as the Undergraduate Spring Ball for the School of Management.

In March 2012 they took part in the very first Bristol VF-UK regional round against groups from Bristol and Exeter Universities, where they recieved high praise from the judges.
