Transcript of Wayne Williams
Wayne was never diagnosed with ant type of mental disorders or, illnesses. He was only a compulsive liar, and nothing could ever change that.
Wayne was accused and convicted of 27 child murders, along with 2 older male murders from 1979 to 1981 in Atlanta. All of his victims were young black boys. The victims were found dumped in the river. The cause of death is asphyxia. The medical examiners were not able to prove that the children had been strangled. He got 2 life sentence in prison. The murders ended after Wayne was arrested in the year 1981.
Wayne was an extremely good liar. When he was approached by the police men, he stayed very calm and never changed his story. He was very convincing, but his reputation led the police men to think differently. However, while he was in the court he was very defensive, and frustrated. It was at times like two different people, at times he would be calm and then all of a sudden he would snap and begin yelling and insulating people, trying to defend his stories.
Wayne was always a good child . The criminal behavior did not start until Williams was approximately 21 years old. His mother and father were both school teachers. They always treated their son well. There was no abuse, or disrespectful behavior. His parents were not involved in way behind his killings.
Not until the time that he was convicted, he still lived at home with his parents. He never married or has any children of his own. He attended and graduated form Frederick Douglass High school. He also attended University at Georgia State University but later dropped out. Shortly after he had dropped out of school he began radio business in his home. Wayne was know around town as a pathological liar, and rumors that he was homosexual but nothing to prove it.
Williams was born and raised in Atlanta Dixie Hills neighborhood of Northwest Atlanta to Homer and Faye Williams. He was the only child of 2 Atlanta school teachers. His parent doted on him and spent every cent they had on him. He has no siblings.
He stayed very calm, and he kept to his story, even though it was a lie. He didn't seem to real care that he was going to the prison. Wayne was smart, that he had taunted the investigators. He was pretty much telling them "Yeah i killed those kids, but you better prove it, can you prove t?"
After Wayne was arrested, he was found guilt after 2 trials. He was charged with 29 murders, and recieved 2 life sentence in federal prison.
