West African Geography 300-1500 A.D. West Africa 16 countries The 16 countries of Africa are Benin, Burkina Faso, Cabo Verde, Cote d'Ivoire, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea Bissau, Liberia, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone and Togo The 4 Major Water Systems. The Senegal river, the Benue river, Volta river, and the Niger river. The Niger river covers 7.5% of West Africa. The 3 Landscapes West Africa's Climate The Virgin Rainforest covers most of West African coast.It has a desert landscape, and Tropical Rainforest.The West Sahara Desert occupies approximately 99,000 square miles of land. Ghana is a country that is rich in natural resources. More prominent are the bodies of water,forest, and mineral deposits. Important bodies of water include a number or rivers , one of the worlds largest artificial lakes in tge world, and the seacoast. Mineral deposits include gold, diamonds, manganese ore, and bauxite.
West Africa is a very hot and dry place. Its hottest temperature also recorded as the hottest climate in the world was 130 degrees F. Ethan Vanessa Yesenia Ghana Conclusion There are 16 countries in West Africa, there are 4 major water systems, a rain forest covers most of West Africa`s coast. It is very hot and dry.
