Big name athletes are the number one target for the media, any slip up and the media could turn anybody into a monster.

Players in the NBA and NFL are involved with many community service projects around the world, working

The average person could receive a second chance if they have a clean record but a pro athlete does not; one incident and they can either be suspended, sit out for a season or worst, a jail sentence.
Most athletes are treated differently by the law giving them the privileged to return to their team or another team even after being release from jail.
