Transcript of Constellation Ophiucus

Here's a picture of what its supposed to look like. Rasalhague Cebalrai Sabik Zeta Xi Ser Yed Posterior Yed Prior Epsilon Ser Unukalhai Delta Ser Gamma Ser Beta Ser Muliphen Marfik Mythology The most recent interpretation is that the figure represents the healer Asclepius, who learned the secrets of immortality while seeing one snake giving another magical herbs. In a act of desperation to stop the human race from becoming immortal, Zeus striked down Asclepius with a bolt of lightning. Later feeling sorry for killing Asclepius, he put his figure in the sky to honor his good works. Another theroy is that it represents the Trojan priest Laocoön, who was killed by a pair of sea serpents sent by the gods after he warned the Trojans not to accept the Trojan Horse. There are many other theroies to this constellation but the first seems to be the best. Star Table
