A message or lesson presented throughout the narrative

Type of Conflict:
The description of the content of the work, the way characters interact with each other, themselves, society, or their environment.

he time, place, physical details, and circumstances in which a situation occurs.

Point of View:
The perspective from which the story is told (1st, 2nd, 3rd person)
When the characters, settings and background information is introduced. Everything before the initial conflict.

The first conflict or problem presented in the narrative. This starts off the rising action.

Rising Action:
Significant events in the narrative that create complications or suspense. These events get in the way of the protagonist solving the main conflict in the story.

turning point, which marks a change, for the better or the worse in the story. When the main conflict in the story is resolved (for better or worse).

Falling Action:
All the loose ends of the plot are tied up. The author describes the effects that the climax has on the characters.
The conclusion or ending to the story.
