What is the setting? Who are the characters? Do we learn anything about them before the action starts?
The series of events in a story (novel, short story, movie, etc.) created by the author in an interrelated sequence.

CONFLICT

begins to develop causing increasing tension or suspense.




The rising action builds as Day and Night begin to fight because of their differences, however it continues even when they begin to enjoy each others differences as well.

RISING ACTION


The turning point of the story.
The main CHARACTER comes face to face with the CONFLICT.
The CHARACTER is changed in some way.
Usually towards the end of the story.

Fall out from the CLIMAX.
All loose ends of the plot are taken care of.

Both characters see each other as different and believes the other is weird.
In "Day and Night", the CLIMAX is closer to the end. When Day and Night realized that even though they have differences, they are ultimately the same.
