Banned Books Jack Collins & Jack Corder What is a banned book? Why are they banned? A Banned book is a book censored by a government or a school like system. A book can be banned for many reasons. One may be the content in the book based on the majority and age of a child. Another may be the school may believe it just won't fit in that school's curriculum. Why is F451 a banned book? It convinces citizens to go against the government. Schools find it non-useful and not suitable for younger readers based on the amount of bad language. A couple of scenes in the book mentioned burning the bible. This was thought by many religious groups as disgraceful. Why is The Adventures of Huckleberry Fin banned as well? The Adventures of Huckleberry Fin is banned because of the frequent use of the "n" word. Attribution Page:

When the ALA made it one of the top 100 banned books. Why is it only banned in certain places? Because some schools recognize it as a great book.
