Yak Hair Where Did the Wig Originate? The need for wigs have changed over time. Today wigs are used for looks, lack of hair or as part of a character for a party or role. Celebrities use wigs to add length or if they want a different hair color. Wigs help people find the perfect accent to their costume. People feel good about themselves when they look cool at an event. Materials That Wigs are made of: How Has Society Been Affected By Wigs In A Positive Way? Wigs Help People without Hair feel more confident about their appearance Inventing the wig took time. Engineers needed to figure out how to attach strands of hair to something to fit on a head, almost like a hat. But the head piece underneath can not be seen. That would be embarrassing! The wig also could not be noticeable as in, telling if someone is wearing wig or not, for those purposes. People Once Wore Wigs as A display of Wealth Innovations that wigs have undergone: The materials used to make wigs has changed- now, wigs are made of mostly synthetic hair, whereas they used to be made from animal or human hair. How Society has been affected by Wigs in A Negative Way? Celebrities wearing wigs can waver people's expectations of themselves, and make them feel bad. People could be embarrassed if other people know that that person is wearing a wig. Wigs are uncomfortable,
