Transcript of Making proteins in cells

Making proteins in cells
Make notes!!!!!
Protein synthesis 1 - Transcription
1. In the nucleus, the DNA 'unzips' and replicates or reproduces itself. The new single 'strand' is called mRNA and contains the same BASES with:

A - G
but with C-Urasil instead of Thymine
also, RIBOSE replace Deoxyribose
To know the three stages of protein synthesis in a cell
To know where the three stages occur
To knwo the significant steps in each stage
Protein synthesis 3- Translation
The mRNA arrives and then tRNA in the ribosome collects AMINO ACIDS and brings them to the mRNA in the right order so they can attach and make POLYPEPTIDES and the PROTEINS
Protein synthesis 2
The mRNA travels next to the RIBOSOMES
