Physical Benefits
Participating in physical activity builds up muscle strength and endurance, helps your body fight disease, and uses the nutrients in your food. Along with a healthy diet, you can improve your physical appearance to look and feel healthy and strong.
Social Benefits
Participating in physical activity gives you more opportunities to spend time with friends. Team sports like netball, football, or relays build teamwork and communicative skills. You can make new friends, and build relationships.
Mental Benefits
Participating in physical activity helps you think more about your health. When you participate in an activity, you think about how that affects your health, and how you can continue to do physical activity. You think about how you can do it efficiently and safely.
Emotional Benefits
Participating in physical activity helps you build confidence and self-esteem. It makes you feel happy, and in team sports you feel belonging, which helps you do more physical activity, which leads to more happiness.
