Million Dollar Project
Transcript of Million Dollar Project
The Surprise: I will take six of my close mountain biking friends on a million dollar adventure vacation!
Lodging & Dining
We will be staying at a luxurious house in Whistler British Colombia for two weeks. Included is a pool table, hot tub, and private rooms for all guests . The best part is...
A private chef to prepare all of our meals as well as to clean up after our meals.
The total cost for food and board for two weeks is $40,424.92.
I will start by chartering two seaplanes to take us to Whistler B.C. They will land on a lake 1.2 miles from the house we will rent. Everyone will walk to the house setting the expectation low. Then Bam!
Parked in the driveway:
Upon seeing the "toys" my biking buddies give a perplexed look. I explain that there is one of each for everyone.
Total Toy Cost: $468,942.98
The gear associated with the toys (helmets, paddles, car racks, ect.) comes to 54,579.49
This is this biggest toy. There is only one but everyone is invited.
And thus 14 days are spent riding motorcycles, kayaking, biking, and wake surfing. At night we will jam with our new guitars.

Transportation Cost (Including Trucks): $421,103

What I Learned
It took me about six hours to spend $1,000,000! This project was harder than I thought. The big surprise was how difficult it was to find the prices of the higher end items. Items like bikes and motorcycles were easy enough to find though it was difficult to find the price for a high end ski boat and the private chef. I enjoyed the project, primarily because we tied in math with daydreaming. I researched about the different items before purchasing. I was surprised by how much I learned from this part of the project. I also learned how to use Excel!
