The Love Challenge My number one goal in life is ________. It's All About Love The best use of life is love. Love Matters Most Dominant Life Principle Love Why love? "'And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.' This is the first commandment. And the second, like it, is this: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no greater commandment then these." -Mark 12:30-31 We want to be
challenged to live
that 24/7. "Let all that you do be done
with love." -1 Corinthians 16:14 "Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and
everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. He
who does not love does not know God, for God is love."
-1 John 4:7-8 The Basics of Love "We love Him because He
first loved us." 1 John 4:19 "A new commandment I give to you,
that you love one another; as I have
loved you, that you also love one
another." -John 13:34 "NO man of speech can measure
the DEPTH of Your love for
mankind." "Gregorian liturgy 1. It's a challenge Aspects of God's Love "I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you: I set before you life and death, blessing and cursing. Therefore CHOOSE LIFE, that both you and your descendants may live; that you may love the Lord your God, that you may obey His voice, and that you may cling to Him, for HE IS YOUR LIFE." -Deuteronomy 30: 19-20 2. Love is a CHOICE and a COMMITMENT. "Let us not love in word or in tongue, but in DEED and in TRUTH." -1 John 3:18 3. Love is an ACTION, not an EMOTION. "Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love. Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works" -Revelation 2:4-5 "But if you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them." -Luke 6:32 4. Love is a LIFESTYLE. "Let brotherly love continue."
-Hebrews 13:1 Love PROVES my faith. He who does not love does
not know God, for God is love."
-1 John 4:8 "If someone says 'I love God,'
and hates his brother, he is a
liar; for he who does not love
his brother whom he has seen,
how can he love God whom he
has not seen?" -1 John 4:20 Love lasts FOREVER. "Love NEVER fails. But whether there
are prophecies, they will fail; whether
there are tongues, they will cease;
whether there is knowledge, it will
vanish away." -1 Corinthians 13:8 Most precious thing you can give to someone? The best expression love is TIME. Your attention.
Your time. “Busyness destroys relationships.
It substitutes shallow frenzy for
deep friendship. Busyness feeds
the ego but it starves those who
love us. It fills the calendar but
it fractures the family.” How can I find time? "And walk in love, as Christ also
has loved us and given Himself
for us, an offering and a sacrifice
to God for a sweet-smelling
aroma." -Ephesians 5:2 "Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith." -Galations 6:10 The best time to love is NOW. "A new commandment I give to you,
that you love one another; as I have
loved you, that you also love one
another." -John 13:34 Loving like Jesus loves ME! "For I have given you an
example, that you should
do as I have done to you."
John 13:15 1. I must ACCEPT others the
way Jesus ACCEPTS me. 4 Ways to love in a PRACTICAL way. "All that the Father gives
Me will come to Me, and
the one who comes to Me
I will by no means cast out."
-John 6:37 "When my father and my mother forsake me,
Then the Lord will take care of me."
-Psalm 27:10 "Therefore receive one another,
just as Christ also received us, to
the glory of God." -Romans 15:7 2. I must VALUE others the
way Jesus VALUES me. 4 Ways to love in a PRACTICAL way. "Are not five sparrows sold for two copper coins? And not one of them is forgotten before God. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows." -Luke 12:6-7 VALUE Depends on who made it. "For every creature of God is good, and nothing is to be refused
if it is received with thanksgiving." -1 Timothy 4:4 "For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them." -Ephesians 2:10 Depends on what someone will PAY for it. " 'Will a woman forget her child, so as not to have mercy on the offspring of her womb? But even if a woman should forget these things, nevertheless, I shall not forget you,' says the Lord. 'Behold, I painted your walls on My hands, and you are continually before Me.' " -Isaiah 49:15-16 "Honor ALL people." -1 Peter 2:17 I must FORGIVE others like
Jesus FORGIVES me. 4 Ways to love in a PRACTICAL way. "I, even I, am He who blots out your lawlessness,
and I will not remember them." -Isaiah 43:25 "Bearing with one another, and
forgiving one another, if anyone
has a complaint against another;
even as Christ forgave you, so you
also must do." -Colossians 3:13 "Judge not, and you will not be judged.
Condemn not, and you will not be
condemned. Forgive, and you will be
forgiven." -Luke 6:37 4. I must BELIEVE in others the
way Jesus BELIEVES in me. 4 Ways to love in a PRACTICAL way. "[love] bears all things, believes all things,
hopes all things, endures all things."
-1 Corinthians 13:7 "that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height---to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God." -Ephesians 3:17-19 "No manner of speech can
measure the DEPTH of Your
love for
mankind." "NO manner of speech can
measure the DEPTH of Your
love for mankind."
-Gregorian Liturgy NEVER procrastinate
in showing LOVE. LOVING the
UNLOVELY people. One of the greatest fears and
some of the deepest wounds
surround REJECTION.
