The purpose of the admission essay is to explain
your understanding of the role of nurses
. In your essay, you should incorporate evidence that
demonstrates you have observed and understand the role of nurses
. Include experiences based on employment, volunteering, job shadowing, and personal research. Your essay needs to provide answers to the following three questions:
1. Why is the nursing profession (role of the nurse) a good fit for you?
2. What experiences and traits do you have that make you a strong applicant?
3. What is the single, most convincing factor that will get you selected for the last seat?
