Using Edmodo
I created the group

During tutorials I invited my three groups of

I wrote and administered 2

Quiz A (50 questions) - a general
revision
test

sample test
available on the LU Blackboard

Mara van Schaik
I turned all
open answer questions
in the original sample test
into
multiple choice
questions (with 5 possible answers) to
avoid grading
and to
make results immediately available
to the students.
To make sure that the students
take Quiz B after they have taken Quiz A
, I formed
two subgroups
, one
for Quiz B
(with students who have submitted the first quiz) and one
for Quiz A
(with students who still have not submitted the first quiz).
Problems
Not all the students had registered
with an
email address
(
not obligatory
in Edmodo)

-
solution
: notify them on their
university email
address.
No phonetic symbols
(or any other special symbols) in Edmodo!
Solution
:
crop
and
copy text fragments
+
save as images in Paint
; transfer the files to the Edmodo '
library
' and
insert
them in the question text.
