He met and studied with well known theologians but he also met a African American student named Frank Fisher. They became good friends and Frank even took Dietrich to well known places to show him around.

The fourth main event is when the Gestapo caught on to Dietrich's plan. They pulled up in a black Mercedes And took him away to Tegal Prison. He was chained for 12 days until the guards realized how wealthy and proper his family was. He won them over with his good behavior so they allowed him to receive small presents from his family. The Fifth and last main event is when Dietrich Bonhoeffer was hung at Flossenburg on April 9, 1945. As he died he gave one last prayer to God. A doctor that was watching said "he has never seen a man die to submissive to God".
The theme of
The Plot To Kill Hitler is war, death, religion and much more.
I did not like this book because it was very confusing, their was a lot of names and I couldn't really keep track. Another reason is it was very boring and sad. I would only recommend this book to someone that really liked learning about this time period or the people in this book. I wouldn't recommend this book to anyone that like exciting books or Fiction books.
I didn't really have a favorite part of this book. The book was not really a happy book it typically was sad and depressing. Their wasn't really a good/happy part of the book other then when Hitler died.
