Transcript of Tulsa Habitat for Humanity

A world where everyone has a quality place to live.
Seeking to put God's love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope.
What We Do
Partner Families
Funding for homes is provided by charitable contributions made by sponsors and individuals.
The Basics
Habitat for Humanity was founded in 1976 by Millard and Linda Fuller.
Why We Exist
Tulsa Habitat for Humanity
Since 1976, Habitat has helped 6.8 million people find strength, stability, and independence through safe, quality, and affordable shelter.
Quality, stable housing provides more than just a roof over someone's head, it supplies:
Stability for families and children
Senses of dignity and pride
Health, physical safety and security
An increase of educational and job prospects
We do not give away homes
. We offer 20-30 year, 0% interest mortgages--no profit is made from the sale of the home.
"Partner families" complete our Homeowners College program and put in "sweat equity" hours on their home.
All payments made by home owners go right back into a restricted fund to build more homes for others.

Our retail outlet, the ReStore, helps to pay for our operations, including administrative and building costs. Anything donated to the ReStore helps to further our overall mission.
With the generosity of those who shop at our Restore, those who volunteer, and those who donate, Tulsa Habitat has been able to help more than
families in the Tulsa area since 1988.
Strategic Focus
The Kendall Whittier area, located between the University of Tulsa and downtown, is the strategic focus area of Tulsa's Habitat. We strive to gather people and organizations together to create lasting solutions to social problems.
Bring reusable, personal water bottles to help us fight the waste of plastic water bottles.
Weather is highly unpredictable in Oklahoma, so please call
for information about any last-minute cancellations about the build site.
