Their salaries can range from $55,100-$98,300 Why I chose this job I chose this job because my cousin is an OT and I might have an interest in being it or a PT (physical therapist) with is pretty similar to being an OT and I want to help people achieve their goals in their everyday lives. Job Description Occupational therapists (OTs) help people improve, develop, recover and maintain their ability to perform tasks in their daily lives. They work with people from infants to older adults. OTs help clients have independent, productive, and satisfying lives. They help people with physical and mental disabilities such as strokes, orthopedic problems, brain injuries, and kids with autism. Potential More Information On the long run, the demand for OTs should continue to rise as a result of growth in the number of individuals with disabilities or limited function requiring therapy services
Growth in the population 75 years and older—an age group that suffers from high incidences of disabling conditions—also will increase demand for therapeutic services
