Introducing My Career Preparation to be an OT Work Occupational therapy By Nico Dela Cruz Works in many places such as hospitals, mental health facilities, and even hand clinics
Usually works 40 hours a week
Their salaries can range from $55,100-$98,300 Why I chose this job I chose this job because my cousin is an OT and I might have an interest in being it or a PT (physical therapist) with is pretty similar to being an OT and I want to help people achieve their goals in their everyday lives. Job Description Occupational therapists (OTs) help people improve, develop, recover and maintain their ability to perform tasks in their daily lives. They work with people from infants to older adults. OTs help clients have independent, productive, and satisfying lives. They help people with physical and mental disabilities such as strokes, orthopedic problems, brain injuries, and kids with autism. Potential More Information On the long run, the demand for OTs should continue to rise as a result of growth in the number of individuals with disabilities or limited function requiring therapy services
Growth in the population 75 years and older—an age group that suffers from high incidences of disabling conditions—also will increase demand for therapeutic services

Chiropractor Work Conclusion from what I learned I might be suited for this career because I like working with people and it might be an interesting and fun job. Employment of OTs is expected to increase faster than the average for all occupations through 2018.

Obtain state licensure
OTs are expected to continue their professional development by participating in continuing education courses and workshops.
