Founded on June 29, 1776, by colonists from Spain.
The California Gold Rush of 1849 brought rapid growth to SF.
Destroyed by earthquake and fire on 1906 and was quickly rebuilt.

San Francisco is always at the center of anything in the Startup world. It has been a long-time staple in the scene since the dot com boom of the 90′s.
