Direct out is a passive choice to route signals to the multi-track
Unity Gain on a fader is represented with

meaning 0 change in volume.
Unity Gain: state of a device where the input is equal to the output.
Adjust the monitor level to desired volume
L/R
is common for the stereo buss (mix buss) assignment button.
