The Hunger Games: Survivng the Games
Transcript of The Hunger Games: Survivng the Games
As tributes of the 76th annual Hunger Games, you must be prepared to survive almost anywhere. Each Games' Arena is unique; they all have different challenges for tributes to face. For all you know, you could be fighting to the death in a raining desert or battling it out inside a giant bowl of fruit. This is why we work on your skills here in the Training Center. Over the course of the next few days, we will work to find your strengths and improve your weaknesses. This presentation will give you places to start. Happy learning, and may the odds be ever in your favor.
4- Sleeping Bag
While they are rare, lucky tributes have had multiple uses for this source of warmth. A sleeping bag can be used to keep warm, sheild you from weapons, as shelter from rain, or to carry things in.
5- Fire Wood
Though this seems silly, finding dry, thick firewood is a must in the Games. It can be used to cook food, for warmth, or even to create a diversion as Rue Elwood and Katniss Everdeen did during their Hunger Games.
There are many different kinds of plastic to be found in each Games' Cornucopia. Cubes of plastic or plastic containers can be used to store food or water. Sheets of plastic can also be used to store food or water or even as protection from rain. Peeta Mellark and Katniss Everdeen, Victors from District 12, used plastic as a resource during the 74th Hunger Games.
Backpacks are one of the best resources you can have during the Games. They are often packed with other supplies like containers, food, or even sleeping bags.
Strategy is one of the best weapons you can pick in the Hunger Games, and while a strategy can build you up, it can also destroy you. Now, we will discuss the right strategies to pick that will make you successful.

While these seem like relatively simple weapons, knifes can be used for a variety of things. You can use them to hurt or kill other tributes as defense, hunt,or cut any edible roots or berries you may find. Clove Cade, the female tribute from District 2 in the 74th Hunger Games, threw them to defend herself.
Another weapon with multiple uses, spears can be used to kill other tributes or to hunt animals for food. Marvel Pratt, District 1's male tribute from the 74th Hunger Games used it to kill a young girl, Rue, by throwing it at her chest.
3- Bow and Arrow
Bow and arrows are the classic weapon of choice of victor Katniss Everdeen. Everdeen used hers to hunt, as well as to kill Marvel Pratt by shooting him in the neck and wounding almost-victor Cato Ruse by shooting his hand. A fantastic advantage of the arrows is that they can be thrown or shot, and there are, typically, more than one, so you can use them, even if one is taken from you or the bow is missing.
In the Games, the supplies you pick from the Cornucopia could be the difference between life and death. Here are some that have helped Victors of previous Games the most.
Strategies- During the Games
During the Games, you should try to act on the skills you learned here in the Training Center. One of the biggest tips I can give you is to act on what you are good at. Use your strengths to outsmart other Tributes. Whether you're acting on intellect or physical traits, you should embrace your skills. Good luck in your endeavors.

8- Water Container
Water containers are an absolute must. They can give you something to drink when you are far away from a lake or stream.
If you happen to get food at the Cornucopia, it can save you time. Rather than hunting or gathering, you can use it for a few days and find a good place to hide instead.
If you happen to find a container with water in it, then you will have a significant advantage. When other tributes are dying of thirst or scrounging for a source of water, you can use the water you have until you find more.
Before the games, you should try to think about the angle you want to play. Every Victor has a different personality, but each are equally interesting. You should try to capture the best parts of you. Are you sweet, positive, and warm? Are you more cold and serious? You should consider questions like these when deciding who you "want to be". Your personality can attract potential sponsors and other onlookers. Each of you should also always try to look your best, as this will also help attract sponsors. Work on what you aren't as good at in the Training Center, and save your best skills for the Games.
