Digital Storytelling Phoebe Farr Fall Semester 2012 'Reading maketh a full man, conference a ready man; and writing an exact man' - Francis Bacon What Inspires Me? 'The most courageous act is still to think for yourself' - Coco Chanel My Grandma why does she inspire me? she was always willing to stand up for what she believed in even if it meant getting into trouble... I admire the fact that she went against the social norms of women at that time ...or questioning my grandad I know if she can do this they so can I and it makes me realise that if she could do it then, I should have the courage to do it now born in 1926 she was the mother of 3 children... and grandmother to 5 died 9/26/08 My Uncle Jack he fought in WWII where he met my Auntie Giulietta my Grandma's older brother Why does he inspire me? I respect his love and enthusiasm for knowledge he has written books and published poems in fact, he was a miner for all of his life however, he never went to university My Mum My grandma's only daughter and youngest child “You only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough.” - Mae West the mother of 3 children References all images which were not my own were taken from google images. and the woman who helped make to become the person I am today why does she inspire me? I admire her ambition to travel... as well as her ambition to succeed... ...she moved to Belgium when she was 19 to pursue a job ...she completed a masters degree whilst my brother and I were at elementary school such things make me realise that the world is mine for the taking and it is up to me to make the most of it to me he illustrates the importance of learning and education Audio: Otis Redding 'That's how strong my love is' - taken from youtube http://www.youtube.com/C8SVu8wP6QI&feature=fvwrel
