Definition of Value
n
- As an element of art, value refers to the lightness of darkness of a colour
This picture shows value because it uses the same colour (blue) throughout the entire picture and yet it appears as though there are many colours. So instead of displaying many colours, it displays value.
This picture displays value because even though it only uses black and white, this photograph makes it appear as though there are many different colours. Also, there are many different layers in the photo just like real life would have
