Rebuttal: Technology based instruction can reduce the time students take to reach a learning objective by 30%-80% Warrant: It requires purchasing the hardware (tablet), building a new WiFi infrastructure, and training new teachers on how to use it. Rebuttal Surveys concluded that 77% of teachers found that technology "Increases student motivation to learn Tablets have too many distractions for classroom use. Textbooks are a better source of learning for individuals. Tablets raise concerns of cheating or sharing of school work through applications. By: Elizabeth James Conclusion As you can see, there are pros and cons to both sides of either having tablets or textbooks. But what I'm arguing is that textbooks have been, and should be, a main classroom learning material.
