This day in 1868, Carlos Manuel de Céspedes, "Father of the Homeland", gave freedom to his slaves and started the independence war against the Spanish colonial power, which led to the Ten Years' War
Independence Day
A federal holiday in the United States commemorating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, declaring independence from the Kingdom of Great Britain (now officially known as the United Kingdom)
Cuba and the U.S both gained independence.
Cuba's independence day is in October and the United State's independence day is in July.
Cuba and the U.S gained independence from european nations.
Both Cuba and the U.S celebrate with parades and fireworks.
Our traditions is fireworks their tradition is festivals.
Cuba got free from slavery the united states got free from the UK.
