Transcript of My Heart's A Stereo

By Gym Class Heroes Stereo Hearts How can I relate to this song? I chose to analyze this song as "poetry" because it helps me realize many essential things in life. "Stereo Hearts" by Gym Class Heroes makes me realize that if I had another meaning or wasn't myself, would people accept me for who I am? It also helps me realize or understand that your heart beats for a special purpose and that purpose is what matters the most. If I was the "reader" I would be able to connect to this song because the song speaks to what my special purpose is. If I was the song, I would be talking to or communicating with my special purpose in life. The song makes me think about what it means to appreciate others and the small things that you don't think are important. I can relate to the song because I''m never able to realize how important the little things are. So, this song helps me do that because sometimes if you don't take the benefit of the doubt, you won't know what another outcome could be like. Thus, "Stereo Hearts" by Gym Class Heroes will allow me to appreciate others and the very small things. The Title- Before I Read When I first see the title of the song, the song must be about comparing a stereo to your heart to show someone that you're their friend, or you love them very much. I think th poem/ song had plenty of simile's and repetition. I think that the theme of the poem/ song is no matter what goes on, the purpose of my heart beating, is you. Additional Verse Listen closely to my stereo
It's all for you oh oh
Accept me the way I am
'cause my heart's a stereo (Yeah)
My stereo plays for you
,but my heart sings a song
for you to love oh oh (Yeah) Sydney B. Malcolm
LA2 Hartter My Heart's A Stereo Paraphrase Chorus My heart's a stereo

It beats for your, so listen close

Hear my thoughts in every note

Make me your radio

Turn me up when you feel low

This melody was meant for you

Just sing along to my stereo My heart only beats for you.
Play it like it's your favorite
song. Every note I play
is about you.... Verse 1 If I was just another dusty record on the shelve
Will you blow me off and play me like everybody else
If I ask you to scratch my back, could you manage that
Like it read well, check it Travie, I can handle that
Furthermore, I apologize for make skipping tracks
This the last girl that play me, left a couple cracks
I used to used to used to used to, now I'm over that
Cause holding grudges over love is ancient artifacts Would you treat me like normal, how you treat everybody else? Could you do me a favor? I'm still scared from my last relationship, therefore I apoligize for the way I'm acting. Yet, I've moved on because I can't stay made forever...... Verse 2 If I could only find a note to make you understand
I sing a song and the image grab you by the head Keep me stuck inside your head, like your favorite tune And know my heart is a stereo, the only place for you Maybe a note will give you a better explanation.
If I can find it, I'll sing it to you and you'll get it.
I'm your favorite song, so think about me all th time. Yet, my heart's the only place for you. Connotation Hyperbole- my heart's a stereo Metaphor- my heart's a stereo Metaphor- Holding grudges over love is ancient artifacts Repetition- My heart's a stereo
It beats for your, so listen close
Hear my thoughts in every note
Make me your radio
Turn me up when you feel low
This melody was meant for you
Just sing along to my stereo Simile- We can come and go like on the interstate Personification- Thought love was dead Hyperbole- Turn me up when you feel low. Attitude The poet/ dinger's attitude is neutral.
-my herat's a stereo
-appreciate every mixtape your friends make
-it beats for you so listen close
-turn me up when you feel low Shift There is a shift in the tone. attitude because at stanza 5 (verse 3) the singer starts to sing slower and more softly. I gues that he was trying to make a more relaxing and/or more romantic setting for the reader. Theme Yes, there is a theme. Since the writer sings about a stereo being the geart of somebody, it sets a subtl musical backround for the reader. Title... Now, that I look back at the title, I begin to understand what this song is actuall written about. COmparing your heart to a stereo means that the beat is a song that plays for you and you have to love and appreciate it as much as you can. How does a poem mean? This poem means because the most literal device used in the poem/ song is the repetition of the chorus. Stereo Hearts This song is important to me because my step brother used to play back up for Travie McCoy. It's special because, I will never forget the day I met him. Gym Class Hereos
