Johann Sebastian Bach
Born March 21st 1685, son of Johann Ambrosius. Had an excellent soprano voice, he played the violin and harp, and he spoke Latin. He died the 28th of July 1750 when he was 65.

Purcell was born in 1639 in Westminster, United Kingdom. Purcell worked in Westminster for three different kings for over 25 years. He played the violin, cello, and the flute. Purcell died in 1695.

Baroque was derived from the Italian word barocco, which which was a term used by philosophers during the Middle Ages to describe an issue in time order. The Baroque era was when the first public opera house opened in Venice, Italy, in 1637. Furthemrore, Galileo and Newton discovered the fact of mathematical laws governing bodies in motion, a body in motion stays in motion. This led to many new scientific discoveries. Also, China experienced the end of the nearly three-hundred year old Ming Dynasty and the start of the Manchu Dynasty. lastly, in the Baroque era, Russia and Poland ended a thirteen-year war which Russia won and gained power.
