Was this the final vote or does the Council still have a say in the matter?
This was the final vote. The Council of the European Union adopted a mandate to negotiate in March 2015 under the Latvian Presidency. Negotiations led to an agreement on 30 June which was formally adopted by the Council on 1 October and by the European Parliament today.
Where else do you find an agency response so quickly, with facts and citations, to a citizen's comments and concerns?

Digital communication: Commission & Europeans
Closer than ever

Because if something happens, we can receive medical attention with our EU Health Card.
Because we do not love pre-checked boxes when buying, for instance, a plane ticket online.
Because the toys for our kids are safe.
Because we love having the choice to work and live in another EU country.
