Thinking Routine #2
Transcript of Thinking Routine #2
Blowing. Connect My journey began about 6 years ago when I jumped on board the Facebook ship. I have used Facebook as a means to stay in touch with friends and family that live in different parts of the country. Two years ago my journey added another ship called Twitter. Twitter was used primarily as a means to follow people that had interest similar to mine. I have used both as a means to keep up with people with very little interaction from me. Connect My ship has been on autopilot for the last 6 years. 3 weeks ago it hit some new waters called Web 2.0. While riding the sails of Twitter and Google+, I have seen how it can develop my teaching and my learning. The diigo rapids have shown me how I can use bookmarks and tags to develop resources to help me with my dissertation. My resources in the past have been bookmarked on my Browsers' bookmarking site. Extend Other challenging waters have come my way. They have put up questions of time in my head and how to integrate the Web 2.0 tools into the classroom. I do not see where people have to time to check and develop all of these tools. Twitter is very dowting with all the tweets and the time it would take to consume all of that information. Putting my information out into cyberspace scares me, and the thought that people do this all the time dumbfounds me. Challenge My sails have been set for the journey with
Web 2.0 tools and for the development of my
Professional Learning Network.
