http://news.cnet.com/8301-17938_105-57580306-1 nasa-has-found-3-nice-habitable-planets-for-us-to-choose-from/
other Goldilocks planets
discovered planet that are believed to be like earth is the pla net Kepler-22, which it may hav e liquid water.
thus making this the most similar eath like planet
Kepler 62f is another planet which is only 40% larger than earth, so its the closest to the size of our own planet known in the habitable zone
It is also likely to have a rocky composition like earth
Another twin planet is kepler 69c, which is 70% larger than earth
there are an infinite possibility of other similar planets like earth so the possibility is endless
similarities and differences to earth
10x the mass of earth
no moons
could possibly sustain life
exists in a complete solar system (but smaller)
no volcanoes or tectonic plates
no climate change
has to be in a stars "habitable zone"
has to be the right temperature for liquid water to be present
needs to be warm enough for life to sustain
this requires an atmosphere to trap green house gasses
also needs moisture and clouds to be present in order to cool off
needs to be just righ to sustain life

(Goldilocks planets)

Life on other planets
No life on other planets have been found.
NASA is constantly searching for life on other planets.
The only planet with close to an earth like ours is planet Gliese 581g. "The chances for life on this planet are 100 percent," Steven Vogt
Another 3 planets that may contain life are Kepler-62e, Kepler-62f, and Kepler-62.
Advanced civilizations or primitive organisms, they're still out there waiting to be found.
“Two possibilities exist: either we are alone in the Universe or we are not. Both are equally terrifying." Arthur C. Clarke
Habitable earth like planets
lots of oxygen
cool temperature
consistent temperatures
Kepler space program
program to locate other habitable planets similar to earth
estimates how many planets there are in multiple star systems
determines sizes masses and densities
properties of the stars that the planets orbit
The kepler has found hundreds of habital planets
Recently the kepler has been damaged and has not been repaired
