Transcript of Evolution of the home computer

The evolution of the personal computer The first personal computer was invented by Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak in 1975, so its a fairly new invention. no sources explain what it was made of exactly, but on a guess based on present day computers, it may be plastic, glass, metal and rubber. The first computers had to be programed in order to be used, because they had no complex operating systems. So if you were to use an early computer, you had to know how to create programs to use it. the first consumer PCs were the apple ][ and the IBM 610 Apple ][ IBM 610 no CDs?!? That's right, in fact, old computers used floppy disks, rather then CDs because Cd's didn't exist at the time, or they were just experimental, some computers today still use floppy disks, though you aren't very likely to find a computer that has a floppy drive. Floppy disks operating systems? Operating systems are the cores of present day computers, well beside all the hardware that lets it run. Operating systems manage that hardware and tell it what to do. Did you know the first operating system was something called CP/M? None of the sources say when it was made however, which makes it difficult to understand if it worked with the first consumer PCs. Does it get better? Yes computers greatly improve over the years, even though it is a short amount of time. Apple computers get more advanced and made it so their computers could no longer be "edited" or have parts like graphic's cards switched or RAM (random access memory) changed. desktop computers however ( dell, hp, accer, etc) allow the customization of computers, allowing you to make it as good or as specialized as you wish. Laptops, a portable form of the desktop computer, do not allow 'upgrading' of hardware at the moment either. who all uses these devices? Lots of people use computers in their daily lives, whether it is at work or at home, maybe even on the bus, it is an amazing device that lets us do all kinds of things, you know those video games everywhere? those were made on computers, those crazy worlds in "live-action" movies? That's CG, or computer-generated graphics. like in "Alice in wonder" land, the Jabberwocky is in there due to CG animation. Accer laptop dell inspiron macintosh Jabberwocky, Alice in wonderland Did you know? Everything that's digitized or has some kind of picture on a big screen is controlled by a computer somewhere, like in time square, the big signs they have there are all computer controlled, so think, that when ever you see one, its a computer behind that picture Sources en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Personal_computer www.computerhope.com/issues/ch000984.htm www.enotes.com › History › History Questions
