Scottish Accent
Scottish English is spoken by almost every Scottish
inhabitant, with a few exceptions.
The dialect highland English is spoken in
the west, west central Scotland and
northwest Scotland.

Highland English is divided in two
different dialects:
1. English with heavy Scottish Gaelic
2. English with Scottish Gaelic as native
There are two more accents:
1. Lowland Scottish
2. British English

Scottish English has a
distinctive vocabulary
1. Insular Scots
2. North Scots
3. Central Scots
4. South Scots
5. Ulster Scots
6. Urban Scots
