Who is McKayla?
McKayla Rose Maroney is a US gold medalist. She is known for her perfect vault and her "not impressed" face, shown right here:

McKayla's height is 5'4".
McKayla's first medal was a Bronze medal for vault during her first major competition in Dallas, Texas
She was just 13 in her first major competition!

McKayla's Birth, Family, and Friends
McKayla was born on December 9, 1995 in Aliso Viejo, California. At the moment, she is 18, turning 19 this December. Her parents are Mike and Erin Maroney. McKayla's dad was a quarter-back at his high school Purdue University and her mom was a ice-skater as well as participating in many other sports. Her siblings are Kav and Tarynn and best friend is Kayla Ross, another US gymnast.
McKayla Maroney
McKayla has suffered many injuries from gymnastics. She has broken her toe 2 times in May, June, and increased the break after dismounting the beam, and had a mild concussion and a nasal fracture after hitting her head during training on a floor routine at the U.S gymnastics championships. As you can see, she is very tough.
