By: Holly Braund, Madi Cox & Kaitlyn Rainbow Town Life in the Middle Ages SOSE 8B What were the Guilds? The Guilds in Middle Ages were a very important part of medieval times. A higher social status in the society of the Middel Ages could be achieved through Guild membership and this encouraged people to join. A guild is an association of craftspeople in a particular trade. they were organized in a certain manner, something between secret societies, cartels, and trade unions. Houses In the Middle Ages not much space. Most medieval homes were cold, damp, and dark. Sometimes it was warmer and lighter outside the home than within its walls. Many peasant families ate, slept, and spent time together in very small quarters, rarely more than one or two rooms. The houses had thatched roofs and were easily destroyed Jobs in the Middle Ages Madeleine Cox some jobs consisted of;
candle makers
and lots more... birthday candles..... or nice and welcoming candles lamps and.... torches! SOSE 8B Candle makers would make the candles to provide light inside and outside of the castles. The Medieval Clock. Medieval Bakers tightly packed.
