Caravaggio was rather excited with his commissions, and allowed his style of harsh lighting, to execute a darker tone to the religious world of art. His life was full of turmoil and uneasiness after everyone her knew died, so he didn't handle much to nothing well. He handled his success badly and was jailed often. His fame made him swagger around with a sword and a servant for few months, ready to fight, which ended up having the pope put a bounty on him after he killed a pimp in a brawl.
After leaving his home in Milan, to Rome, Italy. He made a living selling pieces to the market. A year passed when he was welcomed by Cardinal del Monte. Where Caravaggio was commissioned for his paintings. Caravaggio found his true calling when new churches were being built and needed paintings to fill them in order to block out Protestantism. His influential friend at the time, Cardinal, helped him here.

Caravaggio was a Baroque and Renaissance styled artist. His style of painting is renowned for its realism, intense chiaroscuro and his prominence on co-extensive space. He never sketched or provided a preparatory drawing when he was painting. Although he wasn't too important with helping art change in his time, his art helped with the founding of modern painting. His work influenced future artists such as, Diego Velazquez to Rembrandt.
Caravaggio never painted a nude women or even had a lover. He drew a lot of men and was often written that he stared at them.
Education
He moved to Milan, Italy, where he was apprenticed under Simone Peterzano, who studied under Titian.

Caravaggio DE REBEL
Is an example of how he would draw men, as if they were offering you something, or instead themselves. The only records he had to deny his homosexuality was that he hung around a group of prostitutes and, excuse me, whores.

After he had a price on his head, he was attacked a lot, one leaving him deformed. It's last of his art before he died, it was his plea for his pardon
