Students need secure and comfortable accommodation in order to optimize the chances for academic success. We only partner with homestay families who are a suitable match for the unique needs of each of our international students. Our families are screened and evaluated regularly.
 
All families provide a private room in a warm and friendly environment with three nutritious meals per day. The homestay experience includes the following:
Average distance of 45-60 minutes to the school
24-hour emergency phone number
Optional airport transfers
Three meals per day
Optional custodianship service  Accommodation Our 2-week Orientation program will prepare students for the upcoming academic year. The program includes:

visits some of Toronto’s most popular attractions
mix with Canadian Blyth students
participate in Blyth’s experiential learning program with our partner institutions such as ROM, TIFF, AGO, and Outward Bound 2- Week Orientation Program Blyth Academy’s curriculum partnerships with prestigious cultural institutions allows us to provide an unrivalled level of enrichment for all of our students. For designated courses, several times per term, students will take their classes with staff from:

Art Gallery of Ontario
TIFF (Toronto International Film Festival)  Course Partnerships We encourage students to join our comprehensive and fun 2-week summer program and orientation at the end of August and early September. The purpose of the program is to familiarize students with Blyth Academy staff and courses, the local homestay family, and the Toronto area. Upon completion of the program, students will be ready to meet the academic challenges of the upcoming school year. 2- Week High School Preparation and Orientation Program We have partnered with the Barrie Colts, one of the top junior teams in the Ontario Hockey League. Aspiring hockey players will train in the morning with staff from the Colts, headed by Dale Hawerchuk – a former NHL all-star and member of the Hall of Fame. Several players from the Colts study with us. Barrie Colts Hockey Academy Located in the heart of downtown Whitby, our sparkling new campus, only 45 minutes east of Toronto, is within walking distance of the recently renovated Whitby Public Library, Peel Park and numerous Ontario Conservation Areas. Whitby's advanced sports training program attracts students who need a flexible academic schedule to accommodate their training needs.

Conveniently located near Centennial Park and overlooking Kempenfelt Bay, our newly opened campus is the proud academic partner of the Barrie Colts, Barrie's junior hockey team. A little over 1 hour from Toronto, our school is ideal for students searching for a small, friendly and traditional Canadian community with easy access to Toronto.

Sports include: hockey, baseball, soccer, gymnastics, and lacrosse. Full time students have a full membership at the Burloak Sports Centre.
