Welcome to the Circulation Desk @ JSC
Understanding Daily Routines in the Library
It is important to know how to use the
technology and equipment in the library
Student Circulation Workers are expected
to arrive to their shift
on time
. If employee is unable to attend,
Jeff must be contacted by phone with sufficient time to find a replacement.
After all this is your JOB!

It is expected that you have a basic knowledge of how to use the library web page to help patrons find specific items
Most of these will require you performing the task multiple times to fully understand the process

Stocking the Printers with Paper
Reference Center computers can be used by both students and the public. The 24-Hour Computer lab can only be accessed by students of VSC(Vermont State Colleges)

Getting Reference Librarians; Finding books; using copier
Shelving
Books and other items are designated to specific areas of the library: Stacks, Reference, Vermont, Children's Room, Media Area, and behind the circulation desk.

are placed on the designated
cart in the
correct
order to later
be shelved in their appropriate location in the Library.
There are separate carts for the all Three Floors in the Library.
