Rubik's Cube
By: Esbo
The Rubik's Cube is a puzzle made to challenge the mind.
The goal of this toy is to match all the colours after you
scramble it. The cube has made many people angry because
they can't solve it and they eventually throw there the cube on
the floor and they break it.
The Rubik's company has made a 1x1 2x2 3x3 4x4 5x5.
The creator of these cubes is Erno Rubik whose last name is Rubik so he called his creation Rubik's and he just added the shape at the end and that's how Rubik's Cube's name was created. They all become harder and bigger along the path. The smaller cubes take less time to solve than the bigger cubes.
Here is a short video of the world record for the 4x4.
When you saw the video you are probably wondering how his cube turns really fast and that new cubes don't turn as good as that one. This is all because of lube. Lube is a substance that makes the cube turn faster. Lube can be many substances like petroleum jelly also know as vaseline. Then theres the real spray lube that you can buy and use to lube you cube.
The 3x3 cube was made in the spring of 1974 and when that came it was only the 3x3. After 7 years Erno Rubik made the 4x4 he thought of making a smaller one. That's the 2x2. After that period of time Erno Rubik took a break and in 1985 he made the 5x5. After that he couldn't make any more puzzles because the technology at that time was not good enough.
So he took all of the cubes he made and he solved them all over a 14 month period and he put the instructions of how to solve them into a box with the cubes. When that happened more people started to buy cubes because they could actually solve it. After that Erno Rubik continued to make cubes. Since he made all of the cubes he became the leader of the Rubik's company in 2007.
Hello my name is Esbo and I will be talking about Rubik's Cubes. BE SURE TO LISTEN WELL BECAUSE THERE IS A QUIZ AT THE END!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now I will be letting you guys look at my Rubik's cube.
But most of you know what the cube already looks like
but if you don't i'll be passing around my lubed cube.
Now I know that if I just give the cube to one person already
solved then when they turn it someone is gona say why did
they get to turn the solved cube and not me. So for that reason I shall be messing it up. This is a message for the people who can solve the cube and I ask them to not solve the cube at all. They may ONLY turn it in random ways and NOT SOLVE IT.
Now I am going to tell you how to lube your cube. NOTE: I don't have lube but I will still open my cube and show you how to lube it. If your gona lube your cube I am NOT RESPONSIBLE for you breaking your cube.
