Transcript of Mozart
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
His family called him Wolferl. When Wolfgang was only six his dad, Leopold Mozart and his sister, Nannerl Mozart started giving him piano lessons. While he was six he performed for the imperial court in Vienna. Mozart wrote over 600 works during his lifetime, including 41 symphonies, and 27 piano concertos. Three of his most famous operas include The Marriage of Figaro, The Magic Flute and Don Giovanni. As Wolfgang grew up he became less of a big deal because he was no longer the young boy that could do all amazing these things. During his lifetime Wolfgang was very
well-known but he spent money faster than
he could earn it. He was poor and in debt
when he died and was buried in an
unmarked grave. Mozart is considered by
some to be the greatest composer who
ever lived. While most composers
specialize in certain kinds of pieces,
Mozart created masterful works for almost
every category of music - vocal music,
concertos, chamber music, symphonies,
sonatas, and opera. When he grew up, Mozart moved to Vienna, and tried to earn a living as a pianist and composer. But he had a lot of trouble handling the fact that he was no longer a child prodigy. Back then, musicians were treated like servants, but Mozart did not, and could not think of himself as a servant.
